This year’s school play was an innovative and exciting adaptation of Shakespeare’s ‘A Midsummer Night's Dream’ where mischievous fairies use love potions to turn lovers’ lives upside down, transforming friends into rivals and causing chaos in a magical forest. Amid the madness of mistaken identities, magic spells, and a play within a play, will order be restored in the kingdom of Athens?

We set our interpretation in the 80’s club scene, utilising complex theatrical tech and stylised ensemble movement. This highly comical and fast-paced adaptation was performed by a large cast of students from Years 8-13 who dedicated themselves to bring a new take on Shakespeare’s classic tale.
