If you have left Alcester Grammar School we may be able to enter you as a 'private candidate'. We only allow ex students to sit exams the year after they have left, ie the academic year they turn 19. We do not accept 'private candidates' for coursework or practicals. Your mark from the previous exam series would be carried forward.

We are unable to accept students for examinations which they have not studied with us. Here is the link to the JCQ Private candidates page to help you find a centre.

If you decide you want to resit in Summer 2025 please email exams@alcestergs.com by 12pm on Monday 9 December. 

Private candidates must pay the exam board entry fee and a £50 administrative fee which also covers the cost of invigilation and supervision during exams.
